•General introduction
Art coatings, such as wrinkle, hammer, webbing,
alligator crack and metallic coatings, can be produced by changing the
types and additions of resins, curing agents, colorings, extenders and
additional agents. Matt and texture coatings are also available.
Wrinkle coatings can make a coating surface
with wrinkles, from tiny wrinkles on synthetic leather to wrinkles on
flint paper. They are widely used on mould or hot-rolled steel articles
which have hidden defects.
Hammer tone coatings can make tiny and intimate
grains and are used on cast or spot welded articles. They are suitable
for outdoor performance coating.
Alligator crack coatings can combine winkles,
hammer tones, metallic effects in one coating, and are also applicable
to coats of wrinkle and hammer coatings.
