General introduction

Pure epoxy powder coating is made from epoxy resin(as main material) and amine hardener. It has good flexibility and chemical resistance, and is suitable for metal products coating which has higher demand on corrosion resistance, insulation and flexibility. It¡¯s not recommended to use directly on outdoor products.

Product series

Standard type and low temperature curing type are available.

High gloss (over 80%), semi-gloss(50-80%),matt(20-50%),texture(below 20%) are available. Gloss also adjustable according to user¡¯s demand.

Physical characteristics

S. G.: 1.4-1.7 (varies according to different color and gloss)

Particle size distribution: 100%<100um(adjustable according to special demand)

Leveling: 120-140

Curing conditions:

A:  200¡æ(surface temp. of treated article) x 15 min. (matt or texture)

B: 180¡æ(surface temp. of treated article) x 15 min. (high gloss or matt)

C: 140¡æ(surface temp. of treated article) x 15 min. (high gloss)

Advantages and disadvantages

1. Low viscosity after melting, good flow leveling of coating.

2. Good adhesion, primer not needed.

3. High hardness of coating, good mechanical characteristics.

4. Good chemical resistance of coating.

5. Good color matching ability, have a wide selection of curing agent.

6. Wide application: not only for decoration, but for anti-corrosion and insulation.

7. Bad outdoors aging characteristics: easy to go yellowing and chalking after long time outdoor exposure.
